The Bihar Election 2025: Around 5,000 Voters to Cast Votes at This Booth — DM Reviews Arrangements

District Election Officer Dr. Naval Kishore Chaudhary, along with Senior Superintendent of Police Hriday Kant, conducted a joint inspection of five polling centres situated at the Government Urdu Middle School in Barehpura, falling under the 156-Bhagalpur Assembly segment.

While conducting the inspection, officials assessed the voter facilities provided under the Accessible Model Polling Station (AMF) initiative — such as ramps, drinking water, separate restrooms for men and women, adequate lighting, shaded areas, and seating arrangements. The Sub-Divisional Officer (Sadar), who also serves as the Returning Officer of 156-Bhagalpur, was instructed to ensure that all these facilities are provided at every polling station.

The District Magistrate noted that approximately 5,000 voters are expected to cast their votes at this location. He directed that clear signage be placed at the entrance of all five booths and that barricades be installed using ropes for smooth crowd management.

To prevent the movement of illegal items, liquor, and cash, the District Election Officer and SSP also jointly inspected check posts set up at Barari Bridge, the airport, and several other locations. The Static Surveillance Teams stationed at these posts were given a series of important instructions to ensure strict monitoring.

On this occasion, BDO Amit Kumar emphasised that “Voting is the biggest celebration of democracy. Every citizen should exercise their right to vote to ensure good governance and development.”

At the conclusion of the rally, officials urged the public to come out in large numbers on November 11 and cast their votes responsibly.
